PC5750 EVDO Rev A PCMCIA Wireless Card Verizon Wireless This is a used cellular modem. The PC5750 cellular modem from Verizon Wireless is in the PCMCIA format for computers, mostly laptops, with a PCMCIA slot. This format is nice because you don't have the entire modem sticking out from the side of the computer like the USB modems do. The PC5750 is a REV A card so you know you are getting the fasted card and fasted technology offered from Verizon Wireless. It will connect to Verizon's BroadbandAccess and NationalAccess networks with data speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps. It has a great antenna that was designed for high speed access. You can position the antenna to your liking because it is on a swivel joint. This modem is great because it also has an external antenna connector that is meant to boost the signal strength by connecting it to an external outside antenna (not included) through a adapter. With an external antenna connector port included you can easily install a signal booster (not included) to really improve your signal strength if you are in a fringe area. The software for this modem is included, but you would want to download the latest software from Verizon Wireless anyway from www.vzam.net. There you can download the software for you operating system. If you already have a Verizon Account you can just do a ESM swap from their web site (no charge) and this modem will be up and running in just a few minutes. Don't miss out on a great used, and cared for card. It measures 4.6 x 2.1 x .2 inches and weighs 1.8oz.
